This site has no accounts, no sign-in and no tracking cookies. You can read every page on it without telling us anything.

What is stored in your browser

One thing: whether you left Ask mode switched on, so it is still on when you come back. It lives in your browser's local storage, never leaves your device, and clearing your site data removes it.

Ask mode

Questions you type in Ask mode are sent to Anthropic's API to generate an answer. We do not store the conversation, and it is not used to train anything. Please do not put anything sensitive in it. It is a question box about a product company, and it has no reason to know anything private about you.

Requests are rate limited by IP address to keep the bill survivable. That counter holds an address and a number, and expires within the hour.

Contact and waitlist

If you send a message through the contact form, or through Ask mode's draft-and-send card, your email address and message are emailed to us so a person can reply. That is the whole purpose and we do not use it for anything else. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for a limited period.

The BuffUp app

buffup.derusty.com is a different thing with accounts, uploaded video and its own privacy policy. This page does not cover it.

Changes

If this changes materially, the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify because there is no mailing list.
